SANKUANZ

Founded in 2008 by Shangguan Zhe and based in Xiamen, Fujian, SANKUANZ is a rising brand that signals a new era for Chinese design and menswear. Drawing on youth culture, art and music, it has built its influence by putting forward deeper, larger themes. Its garments, rich in military elements, carry a dystopian atmosphere and are made with connoisseur-level detailing and a focus on practicality. At the same time, SANKUANZ deliberately explores traditionalist themes and silhouettes that seem far removed from its own style, refusing to be confined to a single mold. This duality gives the brand an unconventional character, and it is precisely this duality that brings out the delicate balance between contrasting elements at the core of SANKUANZ's design. By contrasting materials of different looks and textures and using industrial materials in experimental ways, SANKUANZ has produced a body of compelling work that stands apart from contemporary design. Under the direction of Shangguan Zhe, who has brought innovation to Chinese menswear, the brand continues to captivate as a label built on originality.
