Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY
The brand Charles Jeffrey Loverboy (Charles Jeffrey Rubberboy), launched by Scottish-born designer Charles Jeffrey (Charles Jeffrey), quickly became famous in the fashion world due to its strong impact. The brand's roots go back to Jeffrey, a self-styled club kid, who left his hometown of Glasgow in 2009 at the age of 18 to travel to London. After earning a bachelor's degree in fashion design from prestigious Central St. Martins, Jeffrey was named British Fashion Award's Best New Men's Wear Designer in 2017, a year after Charles Jeffrey Loverboy was founded, and was nominated for the LVHM Award. Growing up as gay in Scotland, his own experience has had a huge impact on the style he creates, with a glimpse into the brand's collection of themes of pain, anger, escape and tolerance in provocative silhouettes, novel patterns and bold color schemes. Traditional Scottish tartan checkered trousers and accessory accessories represent Jeffrey's roots contrasted with the brand's bold denim and logo-decorated knitwear, while maintaining an exquisite collection. Charles Jeffrey Loverboy's collection expresses the true sensitivity of the designer himself. Its rawly powerful and anti-bone sensibility captures the hearts of a new generation of Londoners who are not bound by the existing framework.
